Sandy Hill Landfill Prince Georges County SWA
RNG · Landfill Gas · Upstream · Bowie, MD
This upstream Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) project captures landfill gas from the Sandy Hill Landfill in Bowie, MD, and converts it into verified clean energy. Production is managed by Toro Energy of Maryland and issued under the RNGA ENERGY GROUP, L.L.C. registry account.
Each Quantified Energy Transfer (QET) token represents one MMBtu of verified RNG production, certified under the GHG Protocol (GHGP) framework and quantified using the CA GREET 3.0 methodology. Buyers purchasing QETs from this project receive traceable, serialized certificates that can be used for Scope 1 emissions accounting, regulatory compliance, and voluntary sustainability reporting.
Forward QETs (fQETs) are issued prior to physical production, allowing buyers to lock in committed delivery at a fixed price. Upon delivery, each fQET converts into a standard QET representing one MMBtu of verified RNG production, certified under the GHG Protocol (GHGP) framework and quantified using the CA GREET 3.0 methodology. Buyers purchasing fQETs receive traceable, serialized forward contracts that can be used for forward-looking Scope 1 emissions planning, regulatory compliance, and voluntary sustainability reporting.
