Waste Management, Palmetto Landfill

This upstream Forward Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) project reserves future production from the Waste Management Palmetto Landfill in Wellford, SC, operated by Ameresco. Forward QETs (fQETs) are issued prior to physical production, allowing buyers to lock in committed delivery at a fixed price. Upon delivery, each fQET converts into a standard QET representing one MMBtu of verified RNG production, certified under the GHG Protocol (GHGP) framework and quantified using the CA GREET 3.0 methodology.

Buyers purchasing fQETs receive traceable, serialized forward contracts that can be used for forward-looking Scope 1 emissions planning, regulatory compliance, and voluntary sustainability reporting.
